Provincial health officials are reporting another record-breaking number of new COVID-19 cases today, police are looking for a pair of suspects wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Bothwell, and you won't be able to go to a restaurant or a bar to ring in the new year.

Kids are still set to go back to the classroom in January but the start of school will be pushed back a couple of days, with another gas leak expected to take place in downtown Wheatley over the next couple of days municipal officials say they've taken action to try to control that, and Chatham-Kent police are asking for your help to identify a pair of suspects who are wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a bank in Bothwell.

A big surge in active COVID-19 cases in Chatham-Kent as the province also set a new one-day record for new cases, Ontario's top doctor has an announcement at 3 this afternoon, and the cause is going down as undetermined after a costly fire on Dover Centre Line yesterday.

An announcement about Ontario's return-to-school plans is expected today from Premier Doug Ford, the head of Ontario's COVID-19 science advisory panel thinks the government should clamp down on capacity limits and urge more people to work from home before it closes schools, and Lambton OPP are investigating after police found two bodies were earlier this week.

A section of Dover Centre Line between Baldoon Road and Highway 40 is still closed after a fire in that area this morning, Chatham-Kent's public health unit is reporting a slight drop in active COVID-19 cases today, and you can add Windsor Regional Hospital to the list of places that are no longer accepting visitors.
