InGoal Magazine’s Kevin Woodley says in Game 5 against Vegas was the best that he’s ever seen Thatcher Demko track the puck. Kevin also says one of the pre-scouts on Demko is on the blocker side he turns off pucks, turns his head, opens up his shoulder which leads to holes & Demko didn’t do any of that in Game 5.

NHL insider John Shannon says that he had his doubts about Thatcher Demko, but after last night's performance he's become a believer. Shannon also thinks that the NHL will look into expanding its playoffs from 16 to 20 teams when the Seattle Kraken join the league.

Brenton Demko, father of Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko, says in his body movement & the way he was tracking rebounds, Thatcher seemed to be sharp right out of the gate. Brenton says his wife & him have really tried to instill in Thatcher to stay in the present, in the moment & block out all the external noise.

The Athletic’s Thomas Drance says what Thatcher Demko showed is great all around for the Canucks because it proved again he’s a prized asset & he’s shown enough at the professional ranks. Thomas also says the Canucks have to not just try hard but they have to re-sign Jacob Markstrom.

Pierre says when it comes to next season, he believes the schedule will be as compressed as the NHLPA will agree to, which means teams will need to have two goaltenders that can play, not just a starter & a back-up.
