Former Canucks AGM Laurence Gilman says what made the 2011 team so special was the fact you knew the love and affection the players had for each other was genuine. Laurence says from top to bottom in the Canucks organization, the feeling was the Sedins never got the respect they deserved & that was one of the reasons their teammates fought so hard for them.

Daniel Sedin knows that everyone that was in attendance didn't exactly get along but it meant a lot to him and Henrik that everyone who came back for the ceremony did. Daniel says there was nothing like playing in front of a solid out crowd at Rogers Arena & the fans were nothing but supportive & positive to them throughout their careers.

Philadelphia Flyers Head Coach & Former Canucks Head Coach Alain Vigneault says Henrik & Daniel had to battle for every inch on the ice. Vigneault believes the Sedin twins had unbelievable work ethic.

Trevor Linden believes Henrik and Daniel Sedin became the players they were because it was tough for them early in their careers & had to work for everything they got. Trevor wouldn't say too much on his departure from the Canucks but did say he had a voice, stuck to his guns when it came to where he believed the franchise was and the timeline on when it would be competitive.

TSN's Pierre LeBrun says he can't imagine anyone having a negative story or thing to say about Henrik & Daniel Sedin. Pierre says the twins are in his top 10 in players he's had to deal with over his career. Pierre says Henrik & Daniel never put themselves ahead of anyone else & when they decided to retire, they handled it with such grace.
