Canucks President Trevor Linden says the Bo Horvat contract negotiations continue and they are not what he would call far apart. Linden says he hopes they will have a deal done in time for Horvat to report to training camp and that anything from a 2 to 8 year deal has been discussed.

NFL insider Don banks says Donald Trump has a Super Bowl ring courtesy of the New England Patriots. Trump, of course, has apparent close ties with the Patriots franchise.

Glen Suitor says Kent Austin paid the price in Hamilton for a team which has a lack of talent. Glen says Austin is a good coach but doesn't have a roster to work with which compares to other good teams in the CFL.
