After playing their Montreal show, L7 joins CKUT host Penny to smoke and talk in the men's bathroom of Foufounes Électriques. Bassist Jennifer Finch and guitarist Suzi Gardner give a rundown of their organization Rock for Choice which they founded earlier that year.

They also explain the reason for writing their song "Everglade," which at the time had yet to be released. Obviously they also talk mosh pits, pit decorum, feminist zines and all that good stuff.

Joseph Norton, the Grand Chief of the Mohawk Council at Kahnawá:ke, reviews the conflict of jurisdiction and policing between the federal government and the Mohawks.

He explains the formation and reason for establishing the Peace Keeping Force. He concludes with what be believes the government should do in order to not give but to actually acknowledge the Mohawks’ autonomy.

Bassist Laura Stein calls the station for an interview right before heading out on the band's very first Canadian tour.

In July 1990 Mohawk Warriors and their supporters began an blockade to stop a group of developers from expanding a golf course onto a piece of land referred to as “The Pines”, a sacred burial ground in Kanehsatà:ke.

The resistance expanded to Akwesasne and Kahnawake and then across the country, which lasted throughout the summer. The confrontation with Canada’s Armed Forces and Sûrté du Québec were at times violent. CKUT programmers were embedded behind the barricades and provided regular reports.

The singer and performer, Saint Karen stops by and chats with Penny. She explains the settings in which she envisions her music being played in. Penny Patterson, host of CUTS on CKUT, meets the women of Lunachicks right before a gig. They discuss the technical side of being in a band by explaining the problems with the English record label Blast First and their naivety in believing companies’ empty promises.

In November 1989, Pakistani Sufi Musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and fellow musicians were in Montreal to perform a concert for Traquen' Art.

Elliot Sharp a central figure in the New York Avant-Garde and experimental music scene, was also in Montreal for a separate performance.

Bryan Zuraw, CKUT's Music Coordinator at the time, and CKUT Programmer, Julia Loktev (host of Curiouser and Curiousear) had the brilliant idea of asking them to perform live from our CKUT studios.

CKUT studios, at this time were located in the basement of the Shatner Building of McGill University.

They had never met each other before and come from opposite musical worlds - it's going to be great right?
