Welcome and Announcements
Prelude - Jean
Lighting of the Peace Candle - Jen and Melanie
We pray for peace,
In our hearts,
In our homes,
In our nations,
And in our worlds.
Scripture: John 14:15-21
Call to Worship
One: We invite you to join us in the call to worship…
One: We come from many different places to gather today.
All: For wide is God’s welcome, and you are welcome here.
One: If you are young, old, or in the middle, you are welcome here.
All: If you are black, brown, Asian, or white, you are welcome here.
One: If you are married, never married, widowed, or divorced, you are welcome here.
All: If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or straight, you are welcome here.
One: If you are happy or sad, healthy or ailing, you are welcome here.
All: If you are rich or poor or in the middle, you are welcome here.
One: If you believe in God some of the time, none of the time, or all of the time, you are welcome here.
All: So come, let us worship our welcome God. Amen.
