Clare discusses culture, DEI and how to thrive in work

Listen Later

In this episode, I am delighted to be joined by Clare Beresford. We discuss and unpack what does it mean to have boundaries at work, what does good culture look like is it ok, to be ok/average, especially in competitive industries such as law? We also discuss important DEI topics including how we can achieve greater gender parity and increase mobility for other minority group. Clare is very well placed to advise and talk about this given her career and additional roles.

Clare is the Chief Executive Officer, having joined the business in 2015 when Laurence Simons was part of the Five Ten Group. She led the Management Buy-Out (MBO) from private equity in 2018. Her role is a combination of hiring the right talent across all functions and departments at LS, identifying new areas of opportunity for our business, and meeting with clients and candidates, old and new. She supports on certain senior in-house searches although her main focus is in the private practice partner search world. She has particular interest in diversity, equity and inclusion, and was invited to join the 30% Club back in 2015. She is also a Fellow of St. Georges Society of Leadership Fellows, based at Windsor Castle, and established by the late Duke of Edinburgh. She is a member of the advisory boards of Thompson Reuters TWLIL and fundraising board of Support Through Court (previously the Personal Support Unit).
If anyone is looking within the legal space and would like to reach out to Clare or one of her team, please do so. Clare's contact email can be found:
