Clare Marie's Hard Dance Happy Hour

It’s session 20 of the Hard Dance Happy Hour. I’m Clare Marie, and after a 2 month holiday from the podcast I am buzzing to be back and really excited to introduce this month’s guest to you.

Starting off his DJ journey playing hardcore, playing at events such as Raver Baby and Hardcore Heaven, and his earlier music productions began at a slower bpm making house and techno, he is more recently known for his outstanding trance and hard trance DJ sets and productions.

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with the lovely #AFD, also occasionally known as Adam Dixon.

We learn about his musical journey from a child and what led him to falling in love with hard dance music, how he likes to feel the air flow in a pair of boxers, and what he would look like with a pair of lego hands for hands. As you do!

Stick around after the chat, as Adam has done us an exclusive guest mix.

If you haven’t yet, please do subscribe or follow the podcast on your favourite platform. You can also rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts.

There is also a support link below if ya would like to support it for the small price of a coffee.

Let’s welcome Adam Dixon to the Hard Dance Happy Hour.

And a huge congratulations to Nick for such a successful Weekender event last weekend.

It’s session 18 of the Hard Dance Happy Hour. I’m Clare Marie. Welcome back. If you are new to the podcast, a big hello to you.

This month was absolutely fantastic, as I recorded the podcast on location for the first time, instead of on Zoom, which was an absolute joy.

I travelled to London to chat to not one, not two, but 3 amazing guests; and recorded it in the studio of the man, the myth, the legend that is Les Elston (aka Lab4). That gives it away who one of the guests is. So, I had the pleasure of talking with Les, Nick Coles (aka Nick The Kid) and Alex Morris (aka AlexMo).

We talked about the huge Hard Trance Europe Weekender event that is coming up in June. This is one event that you do not want to miss in 2022! For what this event has to offer, multi-venues, in beautiful Torquay in the South West of England, panning over a whole weekend and with over 40 artists, the ticket price is an absolute friggin’ bargain. So go and check it out after you’ve listened to the guys. You can get tickets over on Skiddle, and I’ll also link to the tickets in the show notes.

If you haven’t yet, please do subscribe or follow the podcast on your favourite platform. You can also rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts.

It’s session 16 of the Hard Dance Happy Hour. Welcome back! I’m Clare Marie, and I’m excited to introduce this month’s guest.

He’s been spinning records since 1999, and after being banished to the garden shed to play his "bang bang music", Jon Hemming and the infamous Shed Sessions was born. We chat about all things “shed like”, their upcoming plans and the community of “shed heads”.

Jon is also a music producer, and he shares with us how he has his own very unique way of writing music, and how he sees music as colour, which I found absolutely fascinating. He also shares his funniest, if not a little bit dark, prank EVER and talks about his shoe addiction.

Jon has also done us a superb mini mix of chunky tough house vibes, so please stick around after the chat to enjoy that.

Welcome back to the Hard Dance Happy Hour and session 014 of the podcast.

Last month saw the Hard Dance Happy Hour turn ONE! I can’t believe that’s a whole year of doing the podcast. Absolutely Crazy!

I have put together a special mix of 12 of my absolute favourite Hard House tracks from 2021 that I played repeatedly in my sets and lost my shit to more than once.

I have got some great guest DJ’s and producers confirmed for this year, and I’m really looking forward to having some fun and informal chats with this bunch of awesome guests during 2022.

Who do you think I'll be chatting with in February? Aaagh…. I wanna tell you but I’ll keep that under wraps for now.

So before I start with some seriously good tuna, I want to say a HUGE thank you to every single one of you who has downloaded and listened to my podcast over the past year. It really does mean the absolute world to me and I’m so, so grateful for all the positive feedback it receives. Absolute legends, all of you.

And of course a HUGE thank you to all of my guests who took the time to come and chat to me during 2021, and for delivering us some amazing mixes.

Welcome back to the Hard Dance Happy Hour, and session 13 of the podcast,
I hope you enjoyed last months 'Happy 4 Hours ' podcast special, where my usual hour format turned to 4 DJ’s and 4 hours of amazing tunes.

If you missed it, please do check it out here:

When I first thought about starting my own podcast, I wrote down some particulars that I wanted to aim for. WHY was I doing it?

One of my objectives was to chat to up and coming artists, and younger talent of the hard dance scene, DJ’s and producers, and to give them another platform to get their music heard and for people to get to know them a little more personally.

It is so important to encourage and support new / up and coming talent, and something that I am really passionate about.

So this month, I had the absolute pleasure of talking to one of the nicest and most genuine people I have met in a long time. I met him at Frantic's 24th Birthday at Frantic in the Woods in August and he exuded such a beautiful energy, I knew immediately that I had to get him on the podcast (and have him over for dinner).

Definitely one to watch and a really beautiful human, welcome Josh Amps aka Jampsy, to the Hard Dance Happy Hour.

Welcome back to the Hard Dance Happy Hour for my 12th session of the podcast.

If you are new to the podcast, hellooooo. And what a month to start listening. Please do hang around. I think you may enjoy it.

The format for this month is totally different and a little bit special. The Hard Dance Happy HOUR turns into the Hard Dance ‘HAPPY FOR HOURS’ podcast, as it goes from the standard 1 hour session to a 4 hour special.

Back in February 2021 the Hard Dance Happy Hour teamed up with the clever guys at NowhereWorld for a special collaboration, where the podcast and virtual venue on Twitch hooked up. NowhereWorld created a virtual event venue and an avatar of myself. It was pretty damn cool.

So this month, it’s not just me playing! I’ve got some of my most favourite people in the world playing alongside me, who are extremely talented DJ’s and producers.

Playing, we have Direct Drive, Jason Nawty and Mobi-D and of course me :)

With a luscious mix of everything trance, melodic and euphoric riffs, techy, sexy acid lines, pumpin’ hard trance, and the best in upfront banging and uplifting hard house, you will want to put this 4 hour mix in your library for repeat listening.

If you are reading this on publishing day, don't forget to come along to the Twitch event where you can hear watch the whole 4-hour event at our very own virtual venue, and each with our own virtual avatar.

I am having a bloody good time creating the podcast, doing mixes and chatting with such awesome guests.

So, If you like what you hear, you can now support the podcast via the support link below.

Welcome back to another session of the Hard Dance Happy Hour, and I am chatting with one of my favourite DJ's, Phil Reynolds.

Phil is one of my favourite Hard Trance DJ's and producers. From starting early on in his DJ career as original resident at Frantic, Phil played at every major venue and promotion in London and across the country. His UK popularity took him to playing across the globe in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Ibiza to name a few.

Phil has worked with some of the best hard dance producers, and his distinctive sound that he is known for with his DJ'ing, is also reflected in his productions.

We talk about his journey so far as a DJ, his record Label - Digital Creation, up coming promotions, and that he still likes to hide and jump out on people.

Phil has also done us one hell of a producer mini mix, so please hang around after the chat to hear it.

Clubs are open again, and it was the best feeling in the world to meet so many of you in person. It really was magic!
