The danger of following God is that often God calls us to Ninevah rather than Tarshish. No matter how much we may try to run in the opposite direction, God waits patiently for us. Perhaps we find ourselves in the belly of the whale, waiting, listening, getting ready to change our minds. Join Pastor Jen as she provides us a new paradigm for understanding our journey through life.

What does the story of a talking donkey have to do with our national conversation on "locker room talk"? Tune in to find out more!

We join Pastor Jen on the day of our Animal Blessing as pets of every kind are gathered in the sanctuary with us for the church service. Such inter-species worship might seem like a chaotic prospect, but Pastor Jen enlightens us on how animals are part of God's divine design to bring order to the world.

Pastor Jacob has a distaste for rituals and traditions, especially those that are mandated by the church with no explanation of their purpose. Listen, though, as Pastor Jacob tries to delve into the meaning of communion and why this ritual helps us to tell a beautiful story of inclusivity. Also, he shares one of his most embarrassing stories ever!

On the 15th Anniversary of 9/11, we remember and mourn the victims of this tragic attack, we celebrate the heroism and bravery of those who gave their lives for others, and we look to the peace of the future. Today, we stand arm-in-arm with the Muslim community as we pray for the peace of the world--one without fear or ignorance. Join Imam Hadi Qazwini of the Islamic Educational Center of Orange County and Pastor Jacob as they share texts about Abraham and Ishmael found both in the Bible and the Quran.

After his burning bush experience, Moses goes to Egypt with God's help to liberate the Hebrew people, but along the way at a lodging place, God attempts to kill Moses! Moses is only saved at the last second when his wife circumcises their son. What in the world is going on here?! Have you ever felt like God was trying to kill YOU? Join Pastors Jen and Jacob for their candidating sermon as they explore the words we use when we talk about God. Listen and learn why the words Black Lives Matter are important, why using only masculine images for God can be dangerous, and why we should be describing God as transgender.
