When I was 8 years old, I remember lying in bed asking myself, “What is the point of life?”
My little-kid brain decided the answer was: “To be happy.”

That belief steered my life for years as I chased happiness like it was some finish line I’d eventually cross.
Buuuuut what I'd later come to realize was that belief was actually keeping me from truly feeling happy.
