KFC Sells Firelogs That Smell Like Fried Chicken

For the third year in a row, KFC will sell firelogs that smell like its fried chicken. Each firelog can burn for up to three hours.

KFC worked with firelog and recycling company Enviro-Log to make the ""11 Herbs & Spices Firelog"" out of 100% recycled materials. KFC says it uses 11 herbs and spices to make its fried chicken.

US customers can buy the firelog at some Walmart stores and on Walmart's website for about $16. This year, it will also be available in Canada for the first time.

Ross McRoy, founder of Enviro-Log, said that the KFC firelog has become more and more popular each year. It sold out in just three hours the first year it was available in 2018, and sold out in 2019 as well.

This isn't the first unusual product KFC has made. In 2016, the company sold nail polish that tasted like fried chicken in Hong Kong.

Also in 2016, KFC made sunscreen that smelled like fried chicken and offered it for free online. Within two hours, all 3,000 bottles were given to customers in the US.

In 2019, the company started KFC Innovations Lab, where customers could help choose product ideas for the company to make, and give money to make them happen. Some ideas included a hot tub that looked like a KFC bucket and a table made of KFC cardboard.
