In Cab Inspection
Lighting Indicators
Safe start Vehicle (while the needles stabilize watch for Def & Fuel lights)
- Def Reader & Fuel: amber lights turn on and off indicating they’re working properly & filled to proper level
- Headlight Switch- Must Turn on, working properly (leave on)
- Indicators- Left/Right turn signals, working properly
- High Beams- turn On, working properly
- Emergency Lights / 4 Way Flashers- Turn On & Off, working properly
Emergency Equipment
- Fire Extinguisher: Properly mounted and secure, filled, up to date with a pin. (Located below driver side Left side)
- 3 Triangle D.O.T Reflectors: All in one piece, in working condition.
- At least 6 Extra Fuses: in my glove box
- Circuit Box/ Fuse Box: is located under my glove box
Windshield & Traffic Monitoring Devices
- Windshield: Should Not be cracked, broken; clean with no illegal stickers to obstruct my view, sealed all around with a rubber seal, that is not ripped, torn or frayed.
- Hood Mirrors: Not cracked, broken; clean with no illegal stickers to obstruct my view, all adjusted to me, the driver.
- Side Mirrors: Not cracked, broken; clean with no illegal stickers to obstruct my view, all adjusted to me, the driver.
Wipers & Washers
- Windshield washer fluid switch-Must Turn on, working properly (push inward)
- Windshield Wiper Switch- Must Turn on, working properly (twist forward)
- Wipers: Not broken or cracked, in working condition w/ enough rubber on my blade that is not ripped, torn or frayed.
Heater & Defrost
(Turn Dial to 8)
- Heater- *Turn on to feel air blowing*, working properly
- Defroster- *Turn on to feel air blowing*, working properly
Horns
- City Horn- *Must Honk* working properly
- Air Horn- *Must Honk* working properly
Once you’ve completed air brakes and incab you will move onto Brake Check / Tug Test.
