She has always wanted to work in education and impact lives through education. She grew up in North Carolina and worked in the school system in North Carolina before relocating to Maine.

On season 2 episode#7 of Class in Session Podcast. Mr. Nolan McDaniel talks with Logan and Dontay about starting a bilingual charter school in Chattanooga, Tn. He spent 5 years teaching and leading in Harlem, NY. Feeling pulled back home and to communities that are deeply important to him and feeling drawn to reimagining education with the community at the center, he moved to Chattanooga to design a new school alongside the community. This led to the design and approval of Chatt-Academy Community School, opening in August of 2023.

Mrs. Spider has been in education for 5 years and is currently a 3rd-grade teacher. She changed her major in college to become a teacher. Mrs. Spider teaches all subjects at her school including physical education as well. She explains how they use a tribal curriculum on the reservation.

On season 2 Episode #5 of Class in Session Podcast. Mr. Seth Warren talks with Logan and Dontay about being a 6th-grade assistant principal in one of the biggest school districts in the country. Mr. Warren played basketball in college and shares his story of how he left his hometown to get into education. Wake county is the 14th largest school district in the country. Mr. Warren has been working in education for 8 years.
