Stereo/Mono promo copy. It's a crime to pop music history in America that this classic synth-pop recording failed to get the proper airplay here. Even more criminal is that it wasn't even released on 45 in the group's native U.K and didn't chart there until a 1990 release resurrected it. Fortunately, it was quite well known in dance clubs at the time. Alison Moyet is simply one of the best female vocalists of all time! The A side is a specially edited version of the 5:45 LP cut, and the B side is a terrific "Dub" version not available on album. This is the second pressing, credited to "Yaz" on the record but "Yazoo" on the cool picture sleeve. Note: This beautiful promo 45 has Mint labels and very nearly Mint vinyl and audio. The audio is Mint for most of its duration, but I noted a few moments of surface noise right at the beginning. The picture sleeve is Near Mint with a touch of ringwear in one spot but no other notable flaws.

Top notch early hard rock single from this Canadian group, which returned with a string of hits starting in the late 1970's. The excellent B side is a non-album track. We like the A side so much it earns a 2-star recommendation (our highest)... Check out the mp3 "snippet" of "Lady". Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Bell Records factory sleeve. Despite light markings on the vinyl, the audio shines through pristine Mint.

This is one of those amazing one-hit wonder singles with a name that seems designed to make associating it with the music nearly impossible. It appeared at the cusp of transition between classic psychedelic rock and the emerging sound of heavy metal, a cusp also defined by the first big Led Zeppelin hit of the same year, "Whole Lotta Love." This is a beautiful copy of the release with the white Amazon label (not a promo). This release also appeared on a multicolor and yellow Amazon labels.

This is a new, unplayed promo copy, in its original Atlantic Group factory sleeve. Here's another terrific Dance number that should have gotten some airplay... Check out the mp3 "snippet" of it. By the way, this was a non-album single, as the artist made no albums. Note: This beautiful promo 45 has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).

This version of "In The Mood" is simply brilliant... Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet" segment to hear why I recommend it so highly. Note: This beautiful, Near Mint copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. It has light storage wear evident on the labels and vinyl. The audio grades close to Mint with just an occasional light touch of surface noise.

What a great record! If you've forgotten why Dave Marsh might put "Needles and Pins" by the Searchers at #239 in his list of the 1,001 greatest 45s of Rock & Soul, have a listen to the brief snippet I'm adding to our "jukebox!" Those opening guitar chords sound like something Roger McGuinn will concoct for a Byrds song in 1965, evoking Chuck Berry's description of how Johnny B. Goode could "play a guitar just like ringing a bell." Note: This copy comes in a vintage Kapp Records factory sleeve. The labels and vinyl exhibit light storage wear, grading Near Mint. Despite a scuffy-looking vinyl surface, the audio is so close to perfect I'm grading it Mint. (Have a listen to the mp3 snippet to hear what I mean.)

The group's terrific 3rd single features an early Michael Nesmith gem on the B side. Check out the mp3 "snippet" of it! Between the two sides, this is a solid 2-star record, our highest recommendation. By the way, this was a non-album single whose sides are missing from contemporary Monkees LPs. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Colgems Records factory sleeve. It grades very close to Mint in appearance (Labels, Vinyl), and the audio sounds pristine Mint!

Here's a beautiful copy of this early Soul vocal group single. These guys were walking down the same musical road that some of their Motown brothers in groups like the Temptations and Miracles were walking, and both sides are truly special. The A side is a midtempo toe-tapper, while the flip is a soulful ballad. Their sound still has some of the vocal ideas from Doo-Wop, but there's equal part ideas from Gospel. Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet"! Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage King Records factory sleeve. It grades very close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original RCA factory sleeve. I've been in love with this tune since the very first time I heart Burton Cummings belting out that acapella intro back in '74. It's great to have a copy back in the store! The flip is an uncharacteristically hard rocker.

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. This was Sexton's biggest chart hit in the U.S.... must have been very disappointing to her fans, cause this lady's got gobs of talent that more people should have been exposed to. Two super Funky Soul rarities. I decided the groove on "You're Losing Me" was just too good to leave out of our mp3 "jukebox"... so have a listen! Note: The test copy from this batch of new, unplayed store stock is pristine Mint in all respects (Label, Vinyl, Audio). I'm sure that after a good cleaning the rest of the copies will be the same.
