From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original Columbia factory sleeve. Kris Kross were a rap duo from Atlanta: Chris "Mack Daddy" Kelly and Chris "Daddy Mack" Smith. They were 14 and 15 when this catchy track was recorded. The A side is a "Radio Edit" of the 3:15 LP cut. The song isn't shorter than the LP cut, so the "Radio Edit" label must indicate a remix.

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. At the end of his chart career, Joe Simon released a few singles on the small Posse Records label, and they're all gems! This one was the last of those chart singles and is perhaps the most sought-after, especially for the terrific uptempo Philly-style track on the flip. I liked it so much right away that I made an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear... Enjoy! By the way, this single's A side was formerly the B side of Posse 5001 in a slightly shorter edit. Both sides are edited from longer album tracks of 5:57 and 4:48, respectively. Note: This beautiful stock copy a touch of storage wear on the labels, which grade Near Mint. After a good cleaning, the wax and audio are pristine.

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. Do the Black Crowes top Otis Redding's original version of this tune? Ahh, who cares... they're so different, and both so great that it's impossible to choose. I'd be happy with either one on a desert island, myself. :-) The terrific B side rocker is a non-album cut... one of the reasons you gotta collect the 45! Here's a beautiful copy of the first pressing on the "Co And Ce" yellow/black label. This single has such powerful audio I had to make an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear... Enjoy! Note: This 45 record has a Mint A-side label, but the B label has a light stain where a small sticker was removed. The vinyl (styrene) grades Near Mint with a few light scuffs, and the grooves preserve pristine Mint sound.

This great song was first released in mid-1967, but didn't do so well on the pop chart. In 1968, after Campbell had a couple of Top 40 singles, Capitol re-released it. The second time around, the tune did better, but still only barely cracked the top 40, amazingly enough. The 1968 release reached #44 on the Country chart and #39 on the Billboard Hot 100. This is a copy of the original 1967 pressing on the orange/yellow swirl label. I love this one so much, I wanted to celebrate the great audio on this copy by making an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear... Enjoy! Note: This beautiful 45 record comes in a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and very nearly Mint vinyl and audio.

Collector Nerd Alert: In this case, I believe the A side is an edited version of the album cut, which is what appears on the flip as Part II (it's the same length as the album cut, which does not have a Part I/Part II designation as many of James Brown's 45s do on LP). Note: This beautiful copy has very light storage wear that results in Near Mint grades for its Labels and Vinyl (styrene). Fortunately, the grooves preserve gorgeous, pristine Mint sound.
