The group's followup to the great "There Is" has a great deal to recommend it... both sides are terrific and feature some amazing production experiments by Bobby Miller. By the way, the A side is slightly edited from a 3:22 album track. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Chess/Checker/Cadet Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels, and the vinyl looks untouched. I'm grading the audio Near Mint to reflect very light native vinyl surface noise, mostly inaudible once the music starts.

This single is specially edited from a 6:28 album track, and the B side is an instrumental version. From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. This is one of those amazing one-hit wonder singles with a name that seems designed to make associating it with the music nearly impossible. It appeared at the cusp of transition between classic psychedelic rock and the emerging sound of heavy metal, a cusp also defined by the first big Led Zeppelin hit of the same year, "Whole Lotta Love." This pressing is on the yellow Amazon label. (It also appeared on a multicolored label and on a white label. I'm not aware of a significant price difference among these variants.) Note: This beautiful 45 has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).

This is one of the records, along with some of the early Beatles and many others, that demonstrated one way that rockabilly transitioned into a musical form that became known as Power Pop. Absolutely essential single — note that both Rolling Stone (#177) and Dave Marsh (#102) put it high on their respective lists of the greatest singles ever made. Great B side, too! One of Jackson's finest singles, Kev Roberts puts this one at #100 in his list of the 500 greatest Northern Soul singles. And for good reason: Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet"! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Spring Records factory sleeve. Its labels grade a strong EX, reflecting light storage wear. Although the vinyl has some light scuffs, the audio is preserved in Near Mint condition, with just a moment or two of light surface noise near the beginning and a couple of light "pops" along the way. Have a listen to the mp3 snippet to hear what I mean.

Even Michael Jackson's detractors must admit he was unbelievably talented. Witness this, the greatest of all Jackson 5 singles, as well as their first, and the first of four consecutive #1 hits over the course of the next 10 months. All of this success falling squarely on the back of little 11-year-old Michael. What a talent! Of course, whoever is doing honors on the piano and guitar ain't half bad either... I mean, the opening few bars of this record, once heard, are not soon forgotten. How could anyone not love this song? I always love getting a copy back into the store. Collector Nerd Alert: The B side is specially edited from a 3:57 album track. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Motown Records factory sleeve. It has Near Mint labels and vinyl, and pristine Mint audio!

This is a new, unplayed promo copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection, in its original Brunswick Records factory sleeve. This early Stereo release features two dynamite recordings... The Funky Soul-style A side grabbed me so hard I just had to make an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear. Well worth seeking out, I hope you'll agree! The B side is a Funky Blues number that I also plan to preserve for future playback. Curiously, the A side label says the track time is 2:02, which is short enough for 1969, but my recording of it is only 1:47 long! Perhaps someone was afraid of putting out a record with such a short A side? Note: This beautiful promo 45 has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).
