Dedee was kind enough to share her inspiring journey with me and it's sure to inspire you as well. Now she's back in full stride and starring in the hit TV show, Big Sky. Dedee and I what it's like working with her brother-in-law David E. Kelley and her sister Michelle Pfeiffer. We also discuss a certain famous ex-boyfriend, George Clooney, and her many amazing appearances in such sitcoms as Seinfeld and FRIENDS.

Jon Glaser, from Parks and Recreation, talks about how when one door closes another opens. After not being selected for SNL Robert Smigel remember the audition and Jon landed his first major writing gig with Dana Carvey. That led to Conan O'Brien and so much more.

Jon and I discussed crossing paths at summer camp many decades ago where he delivered a comedy bit that has stayed with me all my life. Jon has had an amazing career. We discuss his comedy roots that began at the University of Michigan. Jon talks about following his passion for improv and auditioning and becoming a part of Second City Chicago. Jon talks about how his SNL audition didn't lead him to SNL but after being seen by Robert Smigel landed him a writing gig on The Dana Carvey Show. We also discuss how Jon landed a dream job writing and performing for Conan. Many will recognize Jon from Parks and Recreation where he played reoccurring character Councilman Jeremy Jamm over the course of the show's run. We also discussed Jon's many shows including Delocated (the story of his family in witness protection that get their own reality show); how a joke on The Tonight Show led to the creation of his show, Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter (story of a neon-clad warrior with a talent for hunting werewolves) and his most recent show Jon Glaser Loves Gear (about his passion for gear). Scott Valentine literally came back from the dead before landing the iconic role of Nick on Family Ties. His story of never giving up will inspire you.

Scott Valentine became a sensation as Nick, Mallory's boyfriend, on 4 seasons of Family Ties. Before landing the role of Nick Scott had graduated and was working at The Actor's Studio. On the way to talk to his agent to discuss roles, he landed on a soap opera, and in the movie, Lords of Discipline Scott had an altercation with a driver on the road and that driver ran him over. Scott died at the hospital and was brought back to life. His journey of recovery and subsequently moving to LA led him to the opportunity that would be Nick on Family Ties. Scott was originally meant to only guest star on one episode of Family Ties. Scott shares the story of how that one episode expanded to over 40 episodes. Scott talked about acclimating himself and being welcomed on the set of Family Ties. Scott and the character of Nick became so popular there were 3 attempts to spin off the character into his own sitcom. The third of those attempts featured a pre-Seinfeld Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Each attempt met its own demise and Scott shares some telling behind-the-scenes politics of life in Hollywood and the fight that stopped Scott's spin-off in its tracks.

Survivor Season 2 contestant, celebrity chef, author, and documentary maker Keith Famie shares some amazing stories of his time on Survivor including the casting process (and how he was almost part of Season 1), fighting with Jerri over rice, making it to the final 3, and what it was like being the highest-rated season of Survivor ever. I am joined by actor and environmental activist, Ed Begley Jr. Ed is a Golden Globe and seven-time Emmy nominated actor who for decades, has been a champion and educator for causes dedicated to protecting the earth. I had the opportunity to discuss Ed's amazing career and fascinating life as an environmentalist with him. We discuss Ed's work with Christopher Guest (Spinal Tap, Best in Show, Mascots, etc) and the process of how those amazing movies are made. Ed didn't just play a drummer in Spinal Tap, he was a drummer in a band and shares an amazing story of how he and friend John Eimen found themselves playing with Sonny and Cher. Ed shared stories of his Oscar-winning father and some of the amazing opportunities his father was able to bestow upon him. Ed shared stories of the time he was a stand-up comedian with a one-day famous Seinfeld star and the time he got arrested after a show and his improv training. We of course also discuss Ed's path to becoming the TV and movie star he is today which started with a spot on My Three Son's that led him to his critical success on St. Elsewhere and one cruise on The Love Boat.

In the 1970s as a celebration of the very first, Earth Day Ed began a lifelong commitment to being green and saving the environment. Ed shares his journey on how he went green and shares tips on how everyone can start their own journey as well. 

Ed also has a line of Earth-friendly cleaning products. Starting from the ground up, Ed set out to develop a line of natural household products that he would be proud to put his name on. From children's theater to starring in one of the biggest shows on Netflix ever (Fuller House) Michael Campion's story is one for anyone that dreamed young and charted their path to success!

I am joined by actor Michael Campion. Michael recently starred as Jackson Fuller for five seasons on the hit Netflix series, Fuller House. We dove into Michaels's early love of theater which included appearances in The Wizard of Oz and Annie. Michael and I shared our love for Disney World. We took a stroll through Michael's career touching not only on Fuller House but Red Ruby, Christmas Trade, and the Robo-dog series. Michael is a budding young Hollywood actor and not only shares some awesome stories (including how he originally did NOT land the role of Jackson Fuller) but some amazing words of advice for those looking to enter acting as a career. This episode is full of everything or should I say fuller of everything?

Catherine Mary Stewart ruled the 80's. Whether it be side by side with The Last Starfighter, spending a Weekend at Bernie's, or battling zombies in Night of the Comet. Catherine Mary Stewart's path from dancer to movie superstar is out of this world. 

Catherine Mary Stewart starred in The Last Starfighter, Night of the Comet, and Weekend at Bernie's. We discussed what led Catherine to act. We chatted about her journey which began landing the lead role in the movie The Apple and a run on Days of Our Lives as the original Kayla Brady. I took the opportunity to learn more about her time guest-starring on Knight Rider and working with David Hasselhoff. Catherine shared some great stories about auditioning, passing on Family Ties, and being up for the role of Rachel on FRIENDS. Catherine also shared some great stories from the filming of The Last Starfighter (including meeting Robert Preston), being one of the last people on earth with Kelli Maroney in Night of the Comet, and of course some great stories from the sets of Mischief and Weekend at Bernie's.
