Then The Big Show starring Tallulah Bankhead, originally broadcast February 11, 1951, 74 years ago.  Groucho Marx advertises "Plebo," his unique product. The Andrews Sisters celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of their singing as a trio by doing a medley of their hits. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis do a comedy routine, Dean also sings. Judy Garland sings "Get Happy" after being introduced by Tallulah as "Judy Holliday" (she must have loved that!). Tallulah recites "A Telephone Call," by Dorothy Parker. Afterwards, Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis and Joan Davis do their version of the same recitation. Meredith Willson and his Orchestra play a medley of love songs. Tallulah reads Lincoln's famous letter to Mrs. Bixby. 

Followed by Twenty Questions, originally broadcast February 11, 1950, 75 years ago.  The first subject is, "Jimmy Valentine."  WOR/Mutual newsman Fred VanDeventer hosted the show.  

Finally, Superman, originally broadcast February 11, 1942, 83 years ago, The Ghost Car. The "ghost car" forces Clark Kent and Lois Lane off the road. Shortly after Lois arrives at the ranch by walking, Clark hears her crying for help!

Then Fibber McGee and Molly, originally broadcast February 10, 1942, 83 years ago,  Valentine Day.  Molly has gotten a large box of candy, she thinks it came from Fibber. 

Followed by Abbott and Costello originally broadcast February 10, 1949, 76 years ago, Another Sam Shovel Story.   Costello's search for a girlfriend. Sam Shovel solves, "The Case Of The Nephew Who Gambled Away His Mother's Sister's Salary," or, "He Lost His Aunt's-Pay."

Kendall and a local reporter named Charlie Meeker hire a half-breed to take them to meet Sitting Bull, but are double-crossed on the trail and shot! 

Then Mr Keen Tracer of Lost Persons starring Bennett Kilpack, originally broadcast February 9, 1950, 75 years ago, Murder and The Jewel Thief.   Kansas Karl, a notorious jewel thief, decides to go straight...but doesn't get very far.

Followed by Lights Out, originally broadcast February 9, 1943, 82 years ago, We Dug It Up.  An ancient stone coffin buried in the peaceful English countryside becomes an instrument of death. Inside the coffin is a woman with the head of a lion...and she's alive!

Finally, Superman, originally broadcast February 9, 1942, 83 years ago, The Ghost Car. Jimmy Olsen reports a "ghost car" has caused accidents near the Bar-O-Ranch.

Followed by The Lives of Harry Lime starring Orson Welles, originally broadcast February 8, 1952, 73 years ago, Earl On Troubled Waters.  Harry poses as a nobleman to smuggle $30,000 out of the country, but little Lord Randolph himself takes a hand.

It's Peavy's 30th anniversary at the drugstore, and Gildersleeve volunteers to run the store for him. Richard LeGrand receives an award from The National Association of Retail Druggists (signed by 60,000 members!) as "America's Favorite Druggist" on the occasion of his 50th anniversary in show business.

Then The Whistler, originally broadcast February 5, 1945, 80 years ago, Murder is Legal.   A lawyer gets his client acquitted, even though he's in love with the client's wife. After a murder, a contract of death is agreed to. A framer is framed for a murder he actually committed. 

Followed by Gang Busters, originally broadcast February 5, 1955, 70 years ago, The Case of the Lost Gun. A laundryman named Floreid Scearce is involved in a February, 1954 bank robbery in Danville, Virginia. 

Finally, Lum and Abner, originally broadcast February 5, 1942, 83 years ago, Diogenes has announced that he's going to award $10,000 to the truly honest man in town.
