If you were a child of the '60s and '70s, chances are the Chambers Brothers were a staple in your music collection. With six studio albums released from 1967 to 1975, and an additional eight live albums, the band made a significant mark on the music charts, most notably with their legendary hit “Time Has Come Today.”

Decades on, Lester Chambers, the band's lead singer, continues to thrive musically with the band Moonalice. Among the many joys of being part of this psychedelic soul ensemble, Lester particularly cherishes the opportunity to collaborate with his son Dylan in the group.

The album entiteld  Heavenly Cream: An Acoustic Tribute to Cream presents fifteen classic Cream songs. The making of the album began before the pandemic hit. In my interview with Malcolm Bruce, the musician states how important the art of improvisation is to himself and his musical family. Malcolm Bruce is a soulful spirit. He understands the power of music and how it can bring people together. This is a compelling interview with an artist who celebrates his father’s legacy while also creating his own. The second part of our interview with legendary songwriter Jim Vallance begins with a fascinating tale from Jim about how he wrote the Aerosmith song "Rag Doll "with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. The interview continues with many other legendary rock and roll stories, including when Quincy Jones, who had completed work on “We Are The World,” turned to Jim Vallance to compose a song for Canadian artists to sing for famine relief. The song “Tears Are Not Enough,” also co-written by David Foster, Bryan Adams, Rachel Paiement, Paul Hyde, and Bob Rock, would appear on the We Are The World album.
