After a teacher in suburban Pittsburgh made a post about purchasing a gun on his/her private Facebook page, paranoia spread and 60(!) kids were kept home or picked up early from school. There were no threats or viable causes for alarm, just a private social media post. Is this panic unfounded? Should teachers be able to carry, and if so, what precautions should be taken to ensure classroom safety?
