I got to looking at all the reels my editing software creates and I realized that I can download the better ones, edit them together and load them up a best of daily edition. I know this is from Friday and today is Monday but I figured I'd give it a try. My goal is to do them daily if time and internet connection permits.
Here's my best of the day (or worst depending on your perspective) from Friday, May 23rd's show (Ep #986)
Here is the description from the full show, the best of features highlights from the below topics: On The Clay Edwards Show, aired Memorial Day weekend 2025, host Clay Edwards discusses America's societal shifts since George Floyd's death in 2020. Celebrating "Space Force Friday," Edwards reflects on the pendulum swing from "Black Lives Matter" to what he calls "Black fatigue," arguing that the past five years exposed flawed leadership and societal wounds now healing. He critiques the focus on race in media and politics, citing examples like the firing of WLBT's Barbie Bassett for racially insensitive remarks. Edwards debates a caller from New York, who challenges his focus on Black-on-Black crime, pointing to White suicide rates and systemic issues. Edwards counters that public violence, unlike suicide, impacts communities broadly, emphasizing local crime's effect on Jackson, Mississippi. He rejects excuses for violence, urging accountability while dismissing deflections like health disparities in Black communities. The show, marked by heated exchanges, underscores Edwards' unfiltered style and his call for unity behind shared American values, while honoring Memorial Day's true meaning—remembering fallen troops.
