In this episode we speak to Ruth van Wieren from Rockstart Accelerator. Ruth is the project manager of the Smart Energy programme. The programme intends to drive innovation within the energy sector and are open for all types of energy related startups. Smart Energy can be considered in a broad sense; helping to reduce our energy or CO2 footprint on the world. In short, the main focus is on the intersection of I.T. and clean-tech, particularly in areas of smart home and metering, collective and decentralized energy generation & distribution, energy reduction, energy usage awareness, mobility and energy trade. Rockstart plans to take on 10 promising startups for this intensive programme.
