This Sunday, we’re going to be in Joshua 7, looking at how, right after Israel experiences a massive victory, one person’s sin and self-reliance bring God’s anger upon the entire people. How can it be that one weekend the people of God have His blessing, and the next they don’t?

That’s something worth paying attention to. We often read these stories and think, “How could they do that?” Instead, we should read this story and say, “God, forgive us and protect us from such sins.”
