“Want me to give you a ride?” This 7-word solicitous question may sound like an offer to help that deserves appreciation. But for three young women in Cleveland, Ohio who accepted the ride, it was a decision they would regret for a long time. The invitation turned out to be a bait for a kidnapping spree perpetrated by Ariel Castro, a self-confessed sex and pornography addict. He abducted and imprisoned three women in his home for a decade, and subjected them to constant physical  abuse, sexual assault, emotional battery, induced abortion and unwanted pregnancy. For Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, it was the nearest experience to living in hell, and the closest encounter with a devil on earth.
