Mike Meadows, The Manager-Owner of the Meadows Turkey Bowl spoke to Bill and Mike about The nation's largest backyard football game is looking to top the $3 million mark this year. The Meadows Turkey Bowl is back again this year celebrating its 32nd year. The annual tradition has gained national attention including the support of football legend and ESPN Gameday host Lee Corso who is helping promote the event.
This year's game is being dedicated to my son Pete Meadows, who was diagnosed with brain cancer on January 14th 2020. We are excited to announce that we have established a research fund that will dedicate a team to find a cure for oligodendroglioma. This is a rare form of brain cancer that only 12,000 people in the United States have. Little attention and research have been given to this deadly disease until now. Our goal is to shine a light on oligodendroglioma and more importantly find a cure.
