This seems to be kind of a hot topic for translators and interpreters. I’ve heard many colleagues saying that it’s not our place to educate clients, and that we should provide our services according to the client’s guidelines and practices. Others believe that it’s part of the job to raise awareness of what it is that we actually do, because many clients don’t quite know how translation and interpretation work.
