Dr Mark Kon speaks to Professor Carl Roobottom and Mr Robert Loader at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. We talk about scanner hardware and software factors and discuss the limitations of reporting CT DLP for the individual and for the department. We consider the important role that all radiologists play in justifying the right protocols to answer the clinical question, with specific reference to 80KV scanning and potential for saving on contrast volume.
