Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Jacob Wood, president and co-founder of Team Rubicon, a non-profit organization that unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Since its creation in January 2010, TR has impacted thousands of lives in Haiti, Chile, Burma, Pakistan, Sudan, and here at home, in Vermont, Maryland, Missouri, and Alabama and they are currently assisting in the Philippines typhoon relief.

Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Matt Flannery, co-founder and CEO of Kiva, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect people through lending in order to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.

From a collection of nearly one million photographs, Draper published Front Row Seat: A Photographic portrait of the Presidency of George W. Bush which is a selection of more than 100 hundred images of both the public figure and the private man.

In October 2009, Duvall was a sophomore high school football player in Atkins Arkansas when he contracted H1N1 at the height of the swine flu pandemic. His story to survive was shown on 60 minutes and helped educate the public on the importance of the flu shot.

Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Jonathan Katz, author of the book, “The Big Truck that Went By: How the World Came to Save Haiti and Left Behind a Disaster.” As the only full time American correspondent in the country when an earthquake hit on January 12, 2010, Katz stayed for another year to document how ordinary Haitians fared and the progress of the huge international effort to rebuild.

Katz is the editor-in-chief of the journal Childhood Obesity, the only journal that provides a central forum for exploring effective, actionable strategies for weight management and obesity prevention in children and adolescents. He is also founder and president of the nonprofit Turn the Tide Foundation, which was created to help combat obesity by developing, evaluating and disseminating creative, yet practical programs that can be used in the real world for free.
