Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Puplic Programs, sat down with Michael Ross, an author and associate professor of History at University of Maryland. In his new book, “The Great New Orleans Kidnapping Case,” Ross offers the first full account of one of the events that electrified the South at one of the most critical moments in the history of American race relations. The book covers the kidnapping, where two African American women kidnapped seventeen-month-old Mollie Digby in front of her New Orleans home. From the moment it happens through the highly publicized investigation and sensationalized trial that followed, Ross paints a vivid picture of the Reconstruction-era South and the complexities and possibilities that faced the newly integrated society.

Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Patti Jinich, the chef of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, DC and the author of “Patti’s Mexican Table: The Secrets of Real Mexican Home Cooking. ” After serving  as a political analyst, she left policy work to pursue her lifelong passion: to research, write about, test and cook Mexican food, and to share her knowledge and adventures in that cuisine and culture with others.

Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Michael Morell, former deputy director of the CIA. He joined the agency in 1980 as an analyst and led a regional office in the Directorate of Intelligence, the unit that produces the President’s daily brief. He has received a number of awards, including the Presidential Rank Award for exceptional performance, the Distinguished Intelligence Medal for his role in the 2011 operation against Osama Bin Laden.

Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Matt Flannery, co-founder and CEO of Kiva, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect people through lending in order to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.

Interview with Luke Duvall for NPR affiliate KUAR on Clinton School Presents, a weekly dialogue of distinguished guests that visit the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Public Programs, sat down with Luke Duvall. In October 2009, Duvall was a sophomore high school football player in Atkins Arkansas when he contracted H1N1 at the height of the swine flu pandemic. His story to survive was shown on 60 minutes and helped educate the public on the importance of the flu shot.

Interview with Okello Sam for NPR affiliate KUAR on Clinton School Presents, a weekly dialogue of distinguished guests that visit the Clinton School of Public Service in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nikolai DiPippa, Clinton School Director of Puplic Programs, sat down with Okello Sam, a former child soldier in Uganda, who purchased land in 1998 in an area safe from the country’s brutal civil war and started Hope North, a large rural campus for refugees, orphans and former soldiers. 15 years later, Hope North has evolved into an accredited secondary school with an international arts center, vocational training and a working farm.
