Tracy and Jackie sit down with Luke Hanley, Executive Director and Founder of Padma Organization. Luke tells his story of how he ended up in Nepal at a monastery learning Tibetan Buddhism, the Tibetan language, and creating a non-profit organization that would go on to provide housing and basic necessities for children in Nepal. That organization grew to providing assistance for water system development, agricultural programs, substance abuse recovery programs, medical camps, and many other humanitarian projects in Nepal. It has expanded to the next phase which includes taking students from all over the world to different countries to aid in helping with these humanitarian projects. They have projects in Bali, Ecuador, Thailand, Colombia, Nicaragua, and the Azores Islands. Luke met his wife, Rinchen while at a Buddhist Garden in Montana. They have traveled to Nepal and she is actively involved in Padma now. Together they have four children. She is working on her nursing degree and Luke is completing his Masters in Psychotherapy with a goal of providing therapy as part of his project. Listen in for an exciting story of trial and error, passion and purpose, and adventure and spirit!

Tracy interviews Mike and Sarah Borduin, along with 2 of their children, Niles & Vivian over the phone. The Borduin family sat down on a quiet porch in Columbia South America (the sounds you sometimes here in the background are parrots) to tell Tracy about their year long trip across South America. Niles talks about how he is going to to high school remotely. Vivian talks about taking this trip as her "gap year" between high school and whatever is next for her. As a recent high school graduate, she is feeling it out. Mike and Sarah are recently retired in their late forties, early fifties and are traveling to see the many different countries to possibly choose one to purchase a second home in. Mike and Sarah talk about how they can afford to retire early and what deliberate choices they made years ago that paved the way for early retirement. The entire family describes their experiences with learning Spanish, working with the locals, and traveling with their dog, Gypsy. Mike describes the logistics of getting a vehicle imported to Argentina and Sarah talks about the requirements for vaccines and health safety.
