  • Poly and Proud Part 1

In part 1 and part 2 of this episode our host Mil Ivory sits with fellow podcaster and host of Dear Poly podcast and have a conversation about his choice to live a polyamory lifestyle.  In this conversation Phillip helps to unravel some of the confusing (or what seems to be confusing to the “outside” world) terms and misconceptions of his lifestyle.  First thing that is established is that polyamory and polygamy is not the same thing.  Which is a common misconception about the lifestyle.  THEN we dive into some of the different terms why he choose this lifestyle or how this lifestyle choose him is probably more accurate and some of his experiences.

The goal of this conversation is to give you a better understanding of why someone will choose this lifestyle as well as to help clear up some of the misconceptions of what people assume this lifestyle is.

Make sure you tune into part one and part 2.  Although we covered a lot I feel like there is sooooo much more to be discussed so we may revisit at a later time.

Feel free to Leave us your comments or email your questions and comments.
also make sure to check out Phillip on his platform at the Dear Poly Podcast.

  • Sitting in your Sexuality & Exploring Sexually Part.2

Our Host Mil Ivory sits with guest/Co Host and fellow podcasters of Not your Normal Discussion  Podcast in part 1 and 2 of this episode to discuss why we think people may not be comfortable with their sexuality and why they may nor be comfortable with sexual exploitation when they should be! Of course there were a lot of theories and opinions on the topic on hand.  So many that we are definitely doing a life chat about it soon so make sure to leave you comments and opinions down below or email us. Set your alerts so that you are tuned in for our live on our social media platforms.    Mil felt like it was important to have this conversation because so many people are first not comfortable it’s their sexuality, so there for they struggle in the sexual exploration category! Rather they are ashamed, have trust issues or just plain shy on the subject our hope is that people realize that sexuality and all that comes with it is a very personal decision.  It is also natural to want to explore and it is something that you should not be ashamed of.  Although often over looked as a major issue issues surrounding sexuality and unfulfilled sexual desires are a major problem.  Being confident in your sexuality and open to explore sexually place a major part of maintaining mental health for some.  So YES I definitely think it is safe to say no matter what anyone things you should not be ashamed of your sexuality and sexual preferences! It is not a once size fit all type of deal.  So do you, be you live laugh love lust ! Do it in a safe, confident, an unapologetic manner because sexual coordination and emotional stability complement each other!😉

  • From the Eyes of a Black Man Part.1

When the lens is tinted with Melanin you see life differently.

This conversation was sparked by Juneteenth but the truth is a black man’s view on the world will be different from any other race.  As a result of day to day racism, associated poverty, Injustice, environment, and expectations.  These factors and many more has a major impact on  black men in the U.S.   It affects their health(mental and physical) and creates blocked opportunities more than any other race no matter of their income bracket or social standing.  The pressure that a black man deals with on a daily basis for just having melanin in his skin makes him 66% more likely to experience day to day discrimination than any other race.   Which would of course makes how he view the world and his tactics for survival different.  The host Mil Ivory wanted to speak to some of our black kings and have a conversation about it. She felt as if this was a much needed conversation.  Although, it was a powerful conversation and we touched on a lot we barely scratched  the surface!  However a scratch in the surface may be what we need to disrupt the pattern.
