"Yellowbus" aka "Hollywood" aka Robert, joins us once again on the podcast. Robert is in the process of upgrading from First Officer to Captain with Spirit Airlines, and was nice enough to come on and share some of the details regarding that process. The Captain upgrade process at a major airline is not something that is too often shared, especially not within the flight sim community, so the information was truly amazing to dive into.
We once again want to congratulate Robert and thank him for coming on, stay tuned for some additional updates regarding his journey.

While we were unable to attend this year’s Flight Sim Expo in person, Johnny and I were thrilled to spend Saturday evening virtually with Steve from Hype Performance Group to discuss the freeware products they have graciously made available to the FS2020 community; Icon A5 performance edition and of course the infamous Airbus H135 helicopter project and the soon to come payware H145, to name a few. Steve walked us through his background, his love for flight simming, and how he and the team were able to fill a need the community desired. We were also able to discuss our initial thoughts and opinions on what we observed during Saturday’s expo, real world flying experiences, and so much more. Have a listen and as always feel free to connect with us and leave feedback. Check out Hype Performance Group below and be sure to grab the AFS H145 variant bundle now available for early access!

Johnny and Mike shoot the breeze on this wonderful Thursday evening discussing real world aviation, flight simulation (Fenix Simulations, PMDG, and many more). We even threw in a discussion around computer hardware, particularly graphics cards and the impact the chip shortage has played in the difficulty of obtaining even a simple 3060, at least at a decent price. Tune in, there was so much more discussed that I think you’ll enjoy and furthermore Johnny and I would love feedback on. Many thanks to you all for helping us keep the content alive and a special shout-out to our continued Patreon supporters. Make sure to rate us on Apple Podcast!

Johnny and Mike take “Closed Traffic” live on Twitch and what better way to debut than with a current airliner pilot, flight instructor, and just avid aviation enthusiast Robert. Robert is a current airliner pilot on the Airbus fleet based here in the United States with a wealth of experience, we’ll let you guys tune in to discover just how many flight hours and experience he actually has! It was a great conversation and even better experience for our guests to ask questions about life at the airlines, how to begin flight training, the different characteristics of the many equipment Robert has flown and which flight sim addons actual captures the closest to its real-world counterpart, and so much more. Tune in to relive the conversation and as always never hesitate to reach out with additional comments and questions.Website: www.closedtrafficpodcast.com

Interesting title for an aviation podcast huh. Mike and Johnny welcomes back Fabian from Extreme Flight Simulations (EFS) to talk about a multitude of topics related to pursuing a path towards real-world flying. It’s a topic that Johnny and I try to touch on as much as possible so Fabian’s message was timely. It’s important for the community to know that there are many opportunities within aviation and becoming a pilot, and even ways to be compensated without ever stepping foot on the line of a regional or major airliner. Fabian also shared a very interesting and compelling personal story about adversity (hence the Cello) that I think we can all learn from and apply to our lives daily.
Tune in, this was a good one and always feel free to let us know what you think!
