You'd be hard pressed NOT to know about the Pro Farmer Crop Tour taking place across the Midwest this week. It has roots with the Illinois Corn Growers and the Illinois Farm Bureau. 36 years ago University of Illinois Farm Broadcaster Todd Gleason road along on the eatern leg of the tour. The way the tour operates hasn't really changed since then. So, let's get in the way-back-machine and listen as Todd takes us into the corn fields to make kernal counts and yield estimates during the 1989 AgriVisor Crop Tour.
