Closing Session - Miracles are Involuntary - Tabula Rasa Online Retreat with David Hoffmeister and Frances Xu

Jesus said in the Bible, "When you pray, go to your closet and shut the door." He didn't just say go to your closet. He said, Go to your closet and shut the door. So he's giving us full permission to say; These distracting thoughts about the past, past regrets, and future expectations; Shut the door! What about this? How's it going to end? Where's it going? And Jesus would say, who cares? Do you believe in the future, or will you be with me right now? Isn't it enough to be with me right now?

It is enough. It is enough. When you suddenly realize that Jesus is literally arranging time and space and taking care of everything and always has and always will. Then you know that there's never been a time when we personally did anything important or unimportant. There's never been a time when we messed it up or did it right. He's telling us that you're not the doer or the body. God didn't create the body. So why don't you give up this guilt, thinking you should have a better body, have made better actions, or have done more?
