💜 Movie Session with David 💜

In this beautifully symbolic film, the central character embodies the sleeping mind—confined by fear and conditioned by the need to please others. She has lived under the illusion of safety, believing her isolation protects her, unaware that it is a prison built by the ego’s deception.

The Holy Spirit’s plan gently unfolds through her inner call to extend, shine, and join. Each year, the rising lanterns stir something deep within her—a remembrance of the light she carries and the invitation to awaken to her true identity.

When she takes a leap of faith, the Spirit sends companions to help her face the fear of abandonment and begin to trust. Her journey mirrors our own: from fear to love, from dependency to authentic freedom.

As David shares in his commentary, the light must be shared. When we try to keep it for ourselves, we fall into the illusion that light can be used to fix darkness, rather than dissolve it through presence and extension.

This film serves as a parable—a call from the Spirit to step beyond comfort, control, and the familiar, and to listen to the heart’s true longing. The light cannot be contained. We are invited to join in its radiance, to remember that beyond appearances and illusions, we are forever anchored in truth and love.

The fragmented world of the ego is sustained by preferences, which are part of a hierarchy of illusions; yet Jesus reminds us that the only illusion that truly leads us to awakening is forgiveness. Instead of believing we have many choices, we discover that in truth there is only one: following the guidance. As a warm-up to this year's Mystical Christ Academy gathering, David uses a movie to emphasize that the ego creates a fictitious world of time and space, distracting us from our true identity as the Christ, the perfect Son of God. He conveys that concepts like birth, death, and emotional turmoil are illusions that do not reflect reality. David refers to lessons from A Course in Miracles, particularly the idea that nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal exists. In the movie session, participants are encouraged to recognize that the events in the movie unfolding are merely projections of a mind lost in illusion. David focuses on the notion that true peace comes from realizing the eternal nature of existence, beyond the drama of the physical world. 

The gathering was translated to Spanish on a different channel, but at 2hours and 52 minutes, the power shut down, and Marina had to translate David consecutively.

Tabula Rasa Mystery School - Day 21: "The Dream Behind the Drama"

David and Kirsten discuss the idea that life is like a movie directed by our ego, not by God, which allows us to see our experiences as acts rather than ultimate truths. By observing our thoughts and feelings, we can realize that our interpretations shape our experiences, similar to how a character in a film becomes aware of the acting around them. This awareness can reduce the intensity of our emotional responses, akin to lucid dreaming, and facilitate forgiveness. Ultimately, being aware that we are dreaming helps us not to take life too seriously, allowing us to open up to healing and a new purpose.
