Our human nature desires closure and wholeness, and therefore when we experience inevitable gaps in our lives we desire them to be closed. Daniel experiences this and shows us the way forward in the midst of Exile. Instead of us closing the gaps with our desire, we are to bring that to God and allow him to close them through his desire–which is to bring wholeness and completeness to us and also through us.
