The internet is no longer an option.
In fact, in 2016, the United Nations General Assembly declared access to the internet to be a basic human right. And in the United States, in urban areas, 97% of people have access to high speed internet. But once you move to the rural areas of the country, that number drops to 65%. Which means that 30 million Americans don't have access to reliable high speed internet. Homes, families, & small business owners that are left wondering what to do.
Thankfully there are companies stepping up to help bridge this digital gap, including one of Ingram Micro’s partners, Verizon.
Justin Pugh, a Solutions Sales Executive here at Ingram, joins us on this episode to talk all about:
-The FCC Emergency Connectivity Fund
-The Verizon Business Internet Plan
-How Ingram partners can take advantage of the FCC Emergency Connectivity fund
-Where technology is going in the next year
