Album: Gimme Back My Bulletts

Artist: Lynyrd Skynyrd

Special Guest: Brent Cobb

CT&OB met up with Brent Cobb in Macon, GA just before the Inaugural South of Atlanta Fest put on by Brent Cobb himself! Brent met us at Grant's Lounge with a few guitars and a pocket beer. We LOVED every moment with Brent, he is a very genuine man and it shows in his music. We got to talk about traffic in GA, boiled peanuts, and a little about Capricorn Studios.

We have to THANK Brent for the new tradition of having Boiled Peanuts when recording an episode.

Episode 19

Album: Long Way From Home

Artist: JD Clayton

CB&OT met up before going out for the night to the Karaoke Bar! Let me tell you, everything that we normally take care of to get ready for the episode wasn't in place. You'll hear Tucker barking and the clock chiming *insert face palm emoji*

In this episode we talked about JD's album, Long Way From Home, which we felt was his record that reflects the American Dream- following your dreams even when struggles and hard times come your way. This album is a great mix of honky tonk, British psychedelia, and country. JD is influenced by Creedence Clearwater Revival and his Arkansas Roots. We loved listening to this record and hope you give it a spin!

Album: Cowboy Like Me by Cody Johnson

Special Guest: Lucas Jagneaux

Location: Key West, FL

CT&OB met up with Lucas Jagneaux while we were in KW @ Mile 0 Fest right after he finished up his set on the Southernmost Beach. We loved hearing how and why Lucas picked this album to cover on this episode. This album brought up memories for Lucas and we got to learn more about him, from him listening to this album on repeat to finding the wrong lyrics on lyric genius. We had a great time with Lucas and can't wait the meet up with him again!

Watch out for Lucas and the guys later this year for their new album! We can't wait to hear the new music he will have for us.

Episode 16

Album: Forever

Artist: Vandoliers

CB&OT ONCE AGAIN met up prior to a Lucero show but this time with some of our best friends Danielle & Sarah. Just like the last time we did this before a Lucero show, this episode gets a tad crazy. Anytime you get together with your friends things just get... well you know... taking shots, playing music that had to be edited out, kicking people off the podcast... oh and talking about this record! We had a great time on this episode with these two amazing ladies!

Word on the street is that Travis and Cory are coming after us because if you listen to "Amerikinda with Cory and Travis" podcast you'd know. Otherwise, you're an idiot! Go listen to their podcast if you don't understand, ONLY after you listen to ours!!!

Episode 15

Album: Glory

Artist: Lost Dog Street Band

CB&OT met up after the Bears-Packers game back in November. We may have been a little off the hinges at the start but I promise we get ourselves back together. CO&OB got to talk about Lost Dog Street Band and we had quite a bit to say! This album is a very deep and dark record for the band due to the time in Ben's life. If you get a chance to see Lost Dog Street Band or Ben solo, GO SEE HIM! You won't regret it!

Episode 14

Album: In The Throes

Artist: John Moreland

CB&OT met up after the Bears vs Packers game to talk about John Moorland. Nick was not happy after that game but Samy and Dani were very happy. BUT we digress and back to the record… We dove deep into this record, realized how dark and personal the music and lyrics could be and we surprised each other on the different ways we interpreted this record. We all agreed we need to take a listen again to this album due to the different views of the songs. This past weekend we traveled to Tulsa, got to see John Moreland at the Mercury and had a great time.  Take the trip to Tulsa!

Album: A Sailor's Guide to Earth

Artist: Sturgill Simpson

CT&OB picked this album due to recently seeing Sturgill in Chicago at the Salt Shed playing 2 nights. Sturgill wrote this album for his son as 'a guide' through life by giving him the the knowledge of life he himself had already lived. Through out this episode, Nick will provide you with some maritime knowledge.

GO SUPPORT STURGILL by going listening to his music, buying his merch (always changing) or going to see him in concert when he's on the road, DON'T MISS THE OPPORTUNITY!!!

Album: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco

Special Guest: Mike Harmeier

CT&OB met up with Mike from Silverada (formerly Mike and the Moonpies) on Day 2 in Wisconsin Dells, WI at Showboat Saloon. We all were feeling it from the show the night before but we were excited to catch up with Mike to talk about an album that has influenced him over the years. You can hear some of the influences in Silverada's most recent album 'Silverada'. At one point, we talked about Marina Towers and Chicago but thats what happens when the CT&OB and Wilco are from the Chicago area. We can't wait to meet back up with Mike and have another Lunchbox shot.
