CloudwatcherUno™

Out now is a fabulosouros episode with the home-grown honkin Tonkin' desperado that is Ags Connolly.

We talk all about keeping the flame of country music alive and kicking in the UK with Ag's four seminal albums 'How About Now', 'Nothin' Unexpected', 'Wrong Again' and his latest album 'Siempre'.

We discuss how vitally important it is for investment in the arts to support UK artists and how that differs for musicians in mainland Europe. We've lost so many venues over the last couple of years which impacts music in the UK including the iconic 'Borderline' in London where so many legends of country played but sadly no longer exists.

Celebrating the best of independent country music with Chasen Wayne out on New Year's Day. Chasen and I get talking about his life as a travelling musician with his seven piece band playing White Horse Texas, Sage Brush Texas, Sam's Town Point his EP ' High Horse', his album 'King Cowboy' and his latest releases 'No Stranger'. Chase has released even more new music with singles 'Cocaine Katy' and 'Sober Seymour' paving the way for his next album release.

We talk about life in Austin, Texas, becoming a father, the music scene with his peers Nick Garza and the Get Along, South Texas Tweek, Reverend Billy Hartman, Charley Crockett and his day job as the resident talent buyer for Sage Brush Texas where he's had Vincent Neil Emerson and Summer Dean and maybe Ags Connolly will join that illustrious roster!

Season 12 is off with a bang with Lauren Jenkins in her first ever London House Concert. An amazingly intimate experience. You had to be in the room for this special evening. This was for one night only before LJ opened for Eric Paslay in Germany.

So totally awesomesaurous to have LJ sing in the Living Room after three years of only doing concerts from her laptop!

The Season finale of the Season 11 CloudwatcherUno Podcast is with Winnipeg based artist Sean Burns.

We speak about Sean's new album 'Lost Country' and his love of music and the Bakersfield Sound. It's a Honky Tonkin' tribute to Canada's lost country music artist's such as Roy Payne and Mickey McGivern. Sean's passion for Canada's country music heritage flows from his over five years as host "Boots and Saddle" on Winnipeg's CKUW @ckuw_959fm and his podcast 'The Northern Report'.

Now Sean's time is taken up as bassist for Corb Lund's Hurtin' Albertans. A fantastic way to nurture and develop his own voice in Country Music 🎵
