  • Ep. 27: The Watkins Glen Railroad
NASCAR went to Watkins Glen, and somehow with a short race and very little passing, Steve, Jake, and Braxton managed to find a lot to talk about. They broke down the Xfinity and Cup Series races on the lefts and rights of upstate New York, including Sam Mayer vs. Ty Gibbs, the Xfinity playoff bubble, Michael McDowell's disastrous day, the shortest full-length Cup race in over 50 years, and the regular season's final countdown.
In Pop Up Showers, Jake highlights the news that NASCAR and Netflix are teaming up for a limited series about this year's playoffs, Steve takes inspiration from Parker Kligerman and asks what car you'd like to take for one lap at any track, and Braxton gives a shoutout to LiveFast Motorsports co-owner Matt Tifft getting back in a race car as he recovers from a neurological issue.
On our Real Picks, Braxton and Jake are locked in a tight battle for 3rd place, with Jake having a top-10 average finish over the last 5 weeks and Braxton having a 20+ average finish in that time. In Random Picks, Jake has made huge strides and now owns 2nd place! The guys make their picks for Daytona, and discuss what could be a crazy finish to the regular season.
