Good read about what makes serial killers tick
We hear about serial killers in the news, we read about them in books, we see them portrayed in movies, but what are they all about? What makes them kill? How do they choose their victims? What are your chances of being targeted by a serial killer?
This book provides some insight into what factors might influence a person to kill and kill again. There is a section on psychological profiling and what kind of information is used to profile a criminal. The different types of serial killers and their motivations are discussed.
If you're interested in serial killers and what makes them tick, this book would be a great addition to your library.
A page turner!
A very thorough and informative read on the minds of killers. The book was very easy to read and there are some things in this book I've not read before. It discusses notorious killers and the methods to their madness. I read this straight through as it kept me interested from start to finish. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading true crime.
Pretty Good
The sections of the book about categories of serial killers with examples of each are very interesting as is the history of profiling. There are typos and some of the book seems like filler. Those who are interested in learning about how serial killers are catalogued and profiling will enjoy this book. Those who enjoy learning all the details about the killer won't.
Serevicus might be better served with more ease with English
Mr. Serevicus might be better served with more ease with English, yet I found this little book oddly compelling in that it kept to spare ideas. An eye-opener though, is it's stated here the FBI enters profiles into their data base when they are correct and successful. What?!! Imagined how more refined that science would be if they studied their mistakes!!!!
Very insightful book
Serial killers have always fascinated me, and I have read a bit about them. This book was enlightening into their chilling methods and traits. I recommend this quick read to those who seek some understanding of the twisted minds of serial killers.
