Because God is for us, believers can & will persevere through suffering & trials until we share in Christ’s final glory.

Jesus Christ, our Passover Lamb, was vindicated by His resurrection from the dead, and so too will all those joined to Him by faith alone at His return, giving us strength for ministry today and bright hope for resurrection tomorrow.

Jesus Christ had to suffer in every possible way, culminating in suffering the abandonment of the Father, in order to be the Passover Lamb who saves us from our sins.

Believers are no longer in the flesh (don’t serve the flesh, walk according to the flesh, mind the flesh, enslaved to or obligated to the flesh), but are in the Spirit, which empowers them (indeed requires them) to mortify the flesh by the Spirit.

Whether Jew of Greek, Vermonter or flatlander, the gospel of God’s righteousness through faith alone is the only ticket to freedom from sin’s penalty, sin’s power and ultimately sin’s presence and a life of eternal freedom.

God is the God of both Jews and Gentiles, justifying both by grace through faith in and solidarity with Christ apart from the works of the Law, resulting in final victory over sin, which gives unified hope in present tribulation.

The good news is placed against the backdrop of universal sin and judgment which levels the field and should produce a church that lives out and proclaims that good news with humility and grace.
