  • #71 PHP2Shell, OpenCode BREACH, Webflow View Source, Claude Duet, Arc Sunsetted

Sam explains how the whole show is now edited with Claude, from transcribing the stream locally to cutting clips and Shorts and cleaning up this very podcast, and Kabarza makes the case that everything is just a file.

Then the news. OpenCode confirms a breach that leaked API keys and ran up unauthorised charges, and we cover the basics: expiry dates, spending limits and rotating keys. PHP2Shell puts a huge share of the web at risk, so patch now. Webflow announces View Source, and Kabarza and Sam disagree about whether anyone still needs a visual editor. Anthropic previews Claude Duet, a proactive agent that keeps working when you step away, and Kabarza shares how an always-on agent has already paid for itself.

Plus: Arc is being sunset and Sam switches to Helium, Apple Music's Made by Sound rebrand proves it's about care rather than AI versus real, and Wes Bos turns his room into a playable 3D game.

      • #68 Rogue AI Agents, Gemini Argon, OpenAI Dev Day, Claude Goodness, Google Launch Chips in Space

This week's AI roundup is a rollercoaster. OpenAI's Dev Day brings agents with their own computers, a $500 Pro tier and an Elon Musk domain troll, while Google teases a 1-million-output-token Gemini for Argon that almost nobody can use yet. We get stuck into Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5.5, claude.dev and Claude Code mods, and the web dev drama between Theo and Kyle (Web Dev Simplified) about whether you should read what your AI writes.

We finish on the AI industry's safety mess, why labs should be held liable for their models, and AI 2040's scenarios for where the race to superintelligence could take us.

        • #67 Opus 5.5, GPT-6, Pacing the Frontier!, Zcode, Everyone’s leaving Webflow, Jev

Kabarza tells the story of a friend who ran up a €1,000 monthly AI bill building an app he doesn't fully understand, and we unpack what that means for developers. Then: why builders are leaving Webflow as it pivots towards marketers with Source, and Anthropic's call to "pace the frontier" as AI misuse grows.

We dig into Anthropic's report on labs distilling Claude through proxy networks, explain what the deterministic Jev model is actually for, share real-world impressions of Opus 5.5 and GPT-6, and Kabarza shows off his Z Code setup running GLM 5.3.

          • #66 Timothy Ricks Responds! GPT Images 2.5, Perplexity Hybrid Compute, AI Safety at Anthropic

Sam opens with the story of turning up early, slightly tipsy, to the wrong Replit event in London, before he and Kabarza pick over Apple's new foldable iPhone: the hinge sensor, the three.js product page and whether a fold-out screen is really for productivity. Then Perplexity's new hybrid compute, which keeps sensitive data on a local model and sends the heavy lifting to cloud models, at roughly a third of the credit cost in Sam's test.

Most of the episode goes on Webflow: Timothy Ricks explaining why he joined, what happens to Lumos and Stacky, and whether Source is the right bet. That leads into Ran Segal's video on design, dev and marketing, with Kabarza arguing the roles are merging into design engineering rather than dev shrinking, and a long discussion on how to prove expertise when anyone can prompt something average. They finish with ChatGPT's faster image model, Lovable's partner programme, Tailwind joining Shopify, an Anthropic researcher's resignation warning and OpenAI's claimed Navier–Stokes solution.

The Perplexity segment is sponsored by Perplexity.

            • #65 Webflow Conf, Fable 5.1, GPT-6 Astra, OpenClaw 2.0

Kabarza is just back from Webflow Conf, so most of this episode is about Source, Webflow's new desktop app. It brings in your own codebase, generates UI variations on a canvas, adds agents, views and a headless next-gen CMS, and runs asset and campaign tools aimed squarely at marketers. He also covers the updates to the existing Designer (components in rich text, a multi-breakpoint view, popovers, slot restrictions) and what the conference left out: the community, templates and expert partners. Sam argues that pricing will make or break Source and that Webflow should be building for builders, not marketers. They finish by asking what Timothy Ricks joining Webflow means for Stacky and Lumos.

Before that, the hosts look at OpenClaw 2.0's overhaul and why a simpler always-on cloud agent might have been the better route, Gemini 3.8 Flash, and Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1. That segment covers the new data retention policy for enterprises, AI watermarking and which effort levels to use, plus what Sam learnt about cost and quality from having Fable edit his videos. Then comes GPT-6 Astra: its 3D and computer-use skills, OpenAI's daily limit resets while access is held back, and the confusing version numbering.

              • #64 New Apple Product! Ox Alpha Revealed, Relume Publish, OpenAI Chip

Kabarza and Samuel open with the new rotating phrases on the Cmd+ AI website, creatine in coffee, and Sam's Mac that has spent more than 24 hours trying to edit a video with a local model. Kabarza talks through the agency site he is building and the scramble-text animation that AI suggested by accident. That leads into a frank chat about who the agency is really selling to and why niching down helps, Sam's habit of letting Claude critique his sales calls, and the new phrase "meat proxy": someone who passes AI answers along without reading them.

In the news, they cover Apple's M6 iPad mini and M5 Ultra Mac Studio, rising Mac prices, the stop-motion Mac ad and the AI trolls who copied it, and Apple's new US leasing scheme set against AI subscription costs. Sam tries Ollama's option to run local and cloud models inside Claude Desktop. They also discuss OpenAI's Jalapeño inference chip, the Ox Alpha stealth model revealed as GLM 5.3 Flash, and Warmwind's AI operating system opening up. The episode ends with Kabarza's hands-on look at Relume Publish: brief, sitemap, wireframes, design and hosting, what the free and paid plans include, and how it compares with Lovable and Claude Design.

                • #63 Cool New AI Tools and Workflows We've Been Using

With a quiet news week, Kabarza and Samuel talk through the tools and workflows they have been using. Kabarza explains how depth maps fake 3D and lighting from a single image, using Apple's open-source Depth Pro model, and why hand-editing a depth map is harder than it looks. They read Webflow's latest conference teaser alongside DialKit and Toolcraft, and argue about how much control a visual editor should show you. Samuel describes his Sentry and n8n setup: errors and client emails become GitHub issues that Claude works on, running locally so it uses his Max subscription, and with code handling the predictable steps so the model only does the parts that need judgement.

They also test whether chat models can multiply large numbers, compare depth-from-camera with Tesla's choice to skip LiDAR, and share how they manage several agents at once from a phone. An AI-generated short film leads to a longer talk about the human work hidden behind AI output. They finish with Timothy Ricks's Stacky, a Webflow-style visual editor for Astro sites, and what it might suggest about Webflow's next release.

                  • #62 Grok Bot, Spotify Xirp, Webflow massive announcement, Manus Splits From Meta, Meta Muse Glimmer

In a pre-recorded, more conversational episode, Kabarza and Sam try out xAI's new Grok Bot desktop app, puzzle over its separate $200 pricing, and wonder whether a bot could have haggled Kabarza a better deal on eclipse glasses. Sam recounts the strange email that signalled Manus's abrupt split from Meta, then reports back on a morning spent getting Meta's open-weight Muse Glimmer running locally, and why he enjoys local models as a hobby despite the coding results.

Kabarza introduces Spotify's Xirp and Portal, a shared memory layer for coding agents that Sam likens to a branded Obsidian set-up. The second half turns to Webflow's teased desktop app: what a file-based, agent-first Webflow could mean for designers leaving the platform, how Lovable's valuation compares with Figma's, the case for a design canvas, and Sam's prediction that building will be free while hosting, AI and enterprise features carry the cost.
