Cannibal Holocaust (1980) is a found footage movie by director Ruggero Deodato that follows an anthropologist as he travels the Amazon rainforest to engage in a rescue mission of an American film crew. However, what he finds - and subsequently brings back - causes him to question everything…

Liz and Cosette explore and discuss the themes of the film, the *ahem* artistic choices made, and the lasting impact this film has had on found footage movies as we know them today. Does this film, for all its shocking content, still have something valuable to bring to the table? Or does the shocking content render it void? That very well may be the question.

Happy Pride Month! To celebrate Pride Month (and our return, whoops), we decided to cover the filthiest movie: Pink Flamingos (1972)! The film, directed by John Waters, follows Babs, played by Divine, and her family of misfits as they compete to be named the filthiest people alive.

In this episode, Cosette and Liz reunite to talk about the filth that was witnessed, who John Waters was, and their reactions to the movie. While Pink Flamingos (1972) is certainly different from the other movies discussed thus far on the podcast, it by no means is less shocking than any of the others!

Its story follows Milos, a retired adult film star who comes out of said retirement after he is made an offer he can’t refuse. Too bad he really didn’t read the terms and conditions of the contract…
