As a young man, he received the esoteric Planetary Dharma transmissions that would later unfold as his contribution to Fourth Turning teachings.

Formerly a Buddhist monk at Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland, John spent 15 years training in “Great Seal” meditation under Dr. Daniel P. Brown. He is also a founding member of Ken Wilber’s Integral Institute.

For 25 years, John has been developing the Fourth Turning Planetary Dharma, including a redesigned Nine Stages of Calm-Staying and the somatic path Embodying the Open Ground, integrating meditation, psychodynamic healing, and adult development.

Daniela Bomatter is a Swiss-born former software engineer and business leader who rose through various leadership positions to become CEO of SwissEnergy at the Federal Office of Energy in Switzerland. After a successful career in technology and public service, her life took a transformative turn through the encounter with spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen and his teaching of Evolutionary Enlightenment.

For 20 years she lived in Kyoto, where she met Buddhist teacher Achariya Qapel in 1998. She trained daily with him in an intensive spiritual apprenticeship that’s rare in the modern West.

In 2004 Qapel and Cata co-founded the Clear Sky Retreat Center in British Columbia, Canada. There Cata has co-cultivated an innovative, generative organization with conscious community. Together Qapel and Cata have also taught virtually through Planet Dharma.
