Jaime graduated with her Bachelor’s in Business from James Madison University in 2006. Feeling empty from her corporate job and looking to help children, she decided to change careers and completed her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Loyola University of Maryland in 2013.

She treated her first tiny human in graduate school, and knew that feeding and swallowing disorders were her calling. After struggling to breastfeed her own children and understanding the pressures of parenthood, she fell in love with empowering other parents. She has worked in many neonatal intensive care units and pediatric hospitals. She is a Certified Neonatal Therapist, Certified Neonatal Massage Therapist, and a Certified Lactation Counselor.

Alex is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and founder of Milton Pediatric Speech & Language. Throughout her career, she has worked with children of all ages in various public schools, private practices, and multidisciplinary clinics. She earned her master’s degree from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. 

Laura is a pediatric speech-language pathologist and owner of Talking in Strides Speech & Language Services. She earned her master’s degree  in Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders from Boston University. She works in both private practice and school settings with children of various ages.

SPOT Mission/Vision:

Laura and Alex became friends while working at a school-based job together. They started their private practices on the side of their full-time school jobs and within the next year, they both pursued their private practices full-time! As they developed their private practices, they recognized the many problems families face in navigating the healthcare system and finding the services they need. They also personally experienced the many challenges private practice owners face who are newly navigating the world of marketing, referrals, and overall business operations. They realized the need for a resource that would allow families and other professionals to easily find a therapist that would fit their needs. They have done their absolute best to build a user-friendly resource to solve these problems that families and professionals face when searching for a qualified healthcare provider. 

The SPOT Collaborative is a network designed to alleviate these challenges for both clients and providers! Our goal is to simplify the marketing and referral process, saving time for professionals and families who are in need of quality care. Families and other professionals can now search and filter through a wide range of specialties across disciplines to find a provider that best fits their current needs. 

Families - no more calling various practices only to find out that there is a waitlist, they don’t accept your insurance, or that they don’t specialize in the area of speech, occupational, or physical therapy you need!

Brianna Lopez is an early childhood speech/language pathologist. Brianna has specialized in early language development throughout her career. Her educational background in linguistics has shaped her approach to the services she provides as a speech/language pathologist.

Brianna is a mother to two children, ages twelve and ten. This experience has been her greatest teacher.  

Brianna is the founder of Language Through Connection (LTC), an organization dedicated to caregiver empowerment.
