The beginning and end of Revelation is Jesus. Revelation is Jesus’s words given to us and is the faithful culmination of all the promises made since that day that Adam and Eve failed in their task to obey God and live in peace with Him for ever.

The truth is, that because I haven’t revealed my starting point, it is impossible to answer correctly, but I am sure people will try to explain their answer with conviction. The whole point of us looking at the Big Picture is to make sure that we read and interpret Gods word with the correct information.

these books were written to the early church but when you read them they feel like they could have been written to us today. The main message of all of them is don’t listen to what false teachers are telling you, obey the bible, avoid sin and love one another because Jesus is who He said He is and will do what He has promised.

We’ve never lived in a time where the information that is in the Word of God has been more accessible to us. These things will send you alarms, break it down for you, give you a bible plan for reading it in a year, help you to read it whilst sitting on the bus to work, read it out to you in morning (that’s what Bekah does), help you with anxiety, stress, your needs and loneliness to name but a few.

But what about the interests of our time now, where Christians spend far too much time being trying to merge our spiritual lives with national politics or creative reinterpretations of the Bible? I’ll say it clearly: for a Christian, our number one priority is not pursuing whatever interests us, even if it relates to God. Our purpose in life is to know God This means we need to continue to learn more about Him, actively, carefully, and daily, beyond our Christian ABCs.

you are not God’s only tool in the toolbox! It’s not all on you! It’s not even all on our church. Or all the churches in Manchester or the UK. As each of us does our bit faithfully for God and sees what he is asking us to do, God works things together to bring people to himself. Be a good ambassador for Jesus, telling people the good news, and living in the reality of this good news, as an individual, and in the church. Keep on growing in faith and growing the faith with God’s constant help.

Adam failed in the face of temptation from Satan and swapped eternal ‘heaven’ for temporal earth. Jesus resisted Satan - as a man - and claimed back eternity and heaven for mankind - reversing death and restoring life. It is up to us, the church, to call in those. to whom Heaven will be restored - for the day is coming - where rest will be entered into but this time with no Satan to spoil it. A perfect Eden. Therefore, pursue the prize, run the race and enter into your promised rest.

Like the Israelites preparing to leave Babylon to return home so we should be preparing to leave this earth behind to return to heaven. We should be looking forward to it as eagerly as we look forward to a holiday, and we should prepare for it as thoroughly as we prepare for the unexpected events of this world.
