Coach vs mentor, what's the big deal ….?

An online conversation was opened up this week in one of the groups I'm a part of for women in business. and it invited some really great open discussion about these two terms “mentor /coach” and what they mean, or how we define them.

It was an important conversation and I learn a lot form seeing all different type of views and ideas on this topic, so I thought I would share a little bit about it on this week's podcast topic, and invite your feedback too dear listener.

The way I split the difference is a coach can work across multi industries and help you from a really objective standpoint to create what works for you

Where a mentor is someone who you want to follow in their footsteps and emulate so it’s pretty specific, if you're in retail you would want a retail-specific mentor to guide you
