Coaching for Change

Michelle sat alone in her living room holding the crumpled letter that her sister Victoria left to her. She hears the door and an unsettling fear rests within her. She knows who is on the other side of the door. Will she be able to face them with a steeled resolve?

Excerpt: The tears had begun to flow from my eyes and I hadn’t even realized it happened. I closed my eyes and allowed myself a moment to process this pain that was etched so deeply into my soul that I sometimes wondered if I would ever be able to find myself again. ‘I feel so lost’ I thought to myself as I held the printed words so tightly in my hands that I thought they would crumble between my fingers. “Damn it!” I cursed loudly.

Release or redemption...are these mutually exclusive? Will Victoria find the answers that she seeks in Michael's arms or will she find herself coming face to face with her demons?

Excerpt: “How did you know my mother?” She asked though she didn’t want to hear his answer. She was afraid of what he was going to say. She was afraid that he was the man that had escorted her mother to pick her up that warm spring day. The pit of her belly quivered at the thought that he might be the man that murdered her mother. That he was the man that took her away from them and ruined her father. Her father lost himself to alcohol and one day left home never to return.

Victoria learns some hard truths about her mystery man Michael. Will she be prepared for what he has to say or will she find herself lost within her own mind?

Excerpt: “I promise, I will tell you everything. If you still want me afterward, I will promise to love you forever,”  His words fell from his lips with purposeful resolution. He stared at her as though she would fade away at any moment. It seemed that he was as entranced with her as she has been with him. She didn’t want to fade away, she didn’t want to wake from this slumber.

Excerpt: The bed dipped as though someone else had started to get on it. Terror filled her heart as the dip increased and she felt a pressure on her hip. It felt like a hand had rested there. The pressure didn’t move and the room chilled even more. “You are so beautiful,” she heard a male voice whisper into her ear. She trembled with fear and hesitantly responded to the voice. “Go away, you are scaring me,” she muttered under her breath. The weight of the hand faded and the dip faded as well. The temperature in the room warmed and yet she couldn’t move. Sleep eventually found her.

Excerpt: He looked off past her in the distance, “Victoria, where did I go wrong?” She wanted to answer him but knew that he wasn’t really speaking to her. He stared past her looking towards the shadows of memories and fears. He looked off into the world of something Victoria had not been able to grasp. ‘What is he thinking?’ she wondered as she watched him converse with his demons.

A flashback into the path forces Amber and Victoria to face the terrible truth about Vicky's mother. Are you afraid?

Excerpt: I left him, just like she had, maybe not physically or in the same way but I had emotionally shut down. I spent very little time at home and I left him to tend to my sister alone. He spiraled and I hadn’t even seen it happening.” Her words lingered in the air, she looked up to see her best friend crying. This time Victoria gripped her hands and held them tightly. “I’m sorry,” Ambered said softly through her tears. “It’s ok, you see my own sorrow and pain had consumed me so deeply that I lost sight of myself. The presence that I felt shortly after overwhelmed me. That’s why I am sharing my story with you. That’s why we are here…” she paused.

Victoria has an opportunity to share her story on camera at the insane asylum. Will she succeed in making the world aware of the dark forces that exist or will she prove that she has become unhinged?
