The Federal Opposition have backed down form their threat of blocking the Government's 60-day prescriptions bill, despite the pharmacy industry's ongoing campaign targeted at the buying public.

The coalition planned to block the plan to allow 60-day prescriptions for customers on the PBS, but the Pharmacy Guild of Australia have been lobbying intensely against the change, warning staff cuts and cost rises will follow.
